Great game with a huge area to explore, great graphics and no probems at all! (Don’t know what all the negative reviews are about….)

This app doesnt even open anymore. Please fix this already.

Doesn’t work on my Mac, gets to a red and green screen and sits until I force quit.

No graphical, audio or any other issues except for a little poroblem with the mouse were some times when looking around, the mouse will freeze and then snap into another position, other than that nice job! :) P.s. a few more hours a game play have turned up some problems, such as when I am in the Police station and only when I am in the Police Station I get this error: Assertion Message Assertion faild! .MiscellaneousOcclusionsManager.cpp(719) : Condition: m_Current < m_Memory + MaxVolumes && “More portal volumes allocator space is required!” Press Abort to close the application Press Retry to debug the application Press Ignore to procced with execution there is no option to press Abort, retry or Ignore.

I love it when you enjoy a game, put hours into it, get an update for a minor bug fix and then that update deletes your saved game progress. I mean everyone loves adruptly being thrown back to the beginning of the game right? Not happy.

I made sure i met all the system requirements before dropping 20 bucks on this game only to never make it past the title screen without the game crashing. I literally never even got to play the game.

This game has great visuals and all the negative reviews about the game breaking bugs seems to be fixed in the newest update. I would really like to see support for the new Metal API, as it will make the game alot better.

The visuals, gameplay, graphics, gore, scares are all amazing, one of the finest zombie games I have ever seen but the game crashes every time you play co-op with anoher player and sometimes crashes during single player. The save profiles/games will randomly disappear leaving you to play the first chapter 100 times. It’s completely broken. Deep Silver really needs to fix their game, it’s been a known issue for a long time apparently to. Wonderful game, ruined by bugs.

it is constantly crashing everytime i press play, im going to delete it and redownload it AGAIN

Hey there, big fella. You beat me to it. Anyway, this game was pretty awesome on the Xbox. If you are actually playing it, make sure that you check the system requirements.

While Dead Island seems like a really fun game to play; this particular port breaks as soon as I press play from the title screen. I crash to desktop, and no amount of messing around has fixed it.

I downloaded it twice already, it just wont open up, love the game on xbox. But i’m wondering why it wont download on here.

After reading several reviews, I got frustrated. When I got this game there were no reviews, so I went with my gut. Now there are reviews and they are scaring customers away! In all honesy, this game is amazing. Please buy it, you won’t regret it. I dont know why some people are ignorant enough to tell people not to buy a game if they have a certain graphics card or number of sticks of RAM. I have the 13 in. Macbook Pro Retina late 2013 edition and it runs flawlessly. I only have 4 gb of RAM. Usually RAM doesnt effect the playing ability of the game, unless you are running low on memory ON TOP of having not much RAM. If you have the same system as I do, (or anything lower than it) please, I mean PLEASE CHANGE THE RESOLUTION!!! I get 60 fps consistently with shadows on medium and resoultion at 1440x880 (I think that is it not positive). And at $21.99 for the GOTY edition IT IS A STEAL!!! Please do not listen to these people because they think that because they have a very expensive, decked mac, it only works on theirs. Enjoy the game!

This game look very cool and I watch my friends play it alot on mac. When I downloaded it, the game crashes whenever I press play. I was not even to play for one single second.

As a person who likes to relax after work by playing games with the ability to smack zombies in the face, I find myself always coming back to this one. There is a large difficulty margin when playing by yourself instead of co-op but not enough to feel the need to rage quit whenever you die. Just know that when you get the game, it is not for an intricate story and inspiring line delivery. The lack of being able to save when I need to tends to get on my nerves, however. Dead Island controls great with mouse and keyboard, so don’t worry if you don’t have a controller to work with. I run it on a Retina MacBook Pro with a 2.8 GHz processor speed and 16GB RAM with surprisingly not much trouble overheating. Make sure that your computer can run the game before buying this.

I am really enjoying this game. Great gameplay, story, nice RPG elements and character growth, and of course I love zombies. Lots to like. I never had an XBox so playing on the mac was my first experience with the game. The reviewer who cited the poor controls is spot on though - any attempt to change keybindings doesn’t last when I restart the game, and some of the controls are not single-button / magic mouse friendly. The stair climbing bug was also carried over in this port, where sometimes your character will keep falling down a set of steps and cannot climb them. I didn’t find either of these issues to be showstoppers though - I only had to rebind a few keys, and if I leave the game paused and alt-tabbed I can always come back to it later without needing to restart. Really fun game and definitely worth the $$. I have spent more money for crappier games.

Am I missing something or is the save game function broken? I play for hours and when I quit and come back I have to start over from the beginning of the game. ALL my progress is lost!

I downloaded this game and had played it for 2 hours, it’s a pretty great game with all the fancy graphics and multiple characters to pick. However, after I closed the game and turn it back on, all my saves and game progress were lost. I repeated playing for many times but the issue still happened the same. When I reported the problem to the Koch Media developer, they gave me the really unprofessional solutions and doesn’t help even a bit. Now I just wasted my $25 (+tax) and getting none of benefit from it.
